Celine Lassus (b. 1999, Tampa, FL) works across net art, performance, and interactive visual essays—or what you could call video games. Based in Austin, TX, their practice aims to digitally decolonize the spaces we plug into. Lassus explores technology's potential for collective healing as a refusal to the exploitative conditions of the internet. Their work has been archived by Rhizome ArtBase, CURSOR Mag, Lesbian Archives, Tour De Moon, and they have attended the School for Poetic Computation, CATS+ Residency Program, Future Front Texas x The LINE Austin’s Creative Retreat, UNESCO Media Arts Austin International Exchange, The Welcome to my Homepage Digital Artist Residency, and recieved a BFA from The University of Texas at Austin.
